Miss Starcher, Mr. Miller WedAnnouncement is being made of the marriage of Miss Justine Starcher, daughter of Allen and the Late Mrs. Ice B. Starcher of Daniels Run to Corley Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grover C. Miller of Shock.
The single ring ceremony took place on the lawn of the bride's home Sunday, June 11 at 3:00 p.m., with Blaine Cook, minister of the church of Christ officiating.
The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Victor B. Starcher of Sistersville, wore a simple summer dress of white embroidered eyelet pique, white accessories and a shoulder corsage of red rosebuds. She carried a small white Bible borrowed from her niece, Miss Seva Starcher.
Previous to the wedding a luncheon was served to members of the bride's and bridegroom's families.
A reception was held immediately following the wedding. Centering the brides' table was a three tiered wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and groom. The cake was cut by Mrs. J. Harry Smith and served by her aides, Mrs. Greely Nitz, Mrs. James W. Carpenter, Mrs. Richard Starcher and Mrs. Denver Starcher. Mrs. Victor C. Starcher served the punch and Miss Paula McCoy registered the guests.
The couple left later for a wedding trip through Ohio after which they will reside with the bride's father.
The new Mrs. Miller is a graduate of Calhoun high school and attended West Virginia Institute of Technology. Mr. Miller attended schools in Gilmer county and served in the United States Naval air force during World War II, with 21 months overseas duty. He is employed at the Glenville Auto-Craft , Glenville, W. Va.
