There are several anomolies in the genealogical documentation of Asa Everson which leave this writer with unanswered questions.

First, this writer is unable to find the documentation for the date of birth given in Don Nomman's record as May 13, 1880 with death on Jul 30, 1901. . Records noted below suggest a birth date of March 20, 1875 and date of death of November 12, 1939.

Second, his wife is variously noted as Zilla A. Everson, Annie Everson, Sarah Ann Kerby Everson, Zillia Ann Kerby Everson, Annie Kirby Everson, and Z. Anna Everson. This writer believes this woman to be Zilla Ann Kirby (Kerby) Everson, daughter of John Wesley Kirby and Ruhamah Stahlman Kirby, and that all these names represent the same woman.

Third, his death certificate indicates his parents to be Thomas H. Benton Everson and Elizabeth Dunn, born in Pennsylvania. Thomas H. Benton Everson's wife was Ruth Ice Everson. No explanation for the listing of a different mother on his death certificate has been documented by this writer. However, there is a genealogy of Thomas H.B. Everson on the subscription service ancestry.com indicating the parents of T.H.B. Everson to be Eli Everson and Sarah Elizabeth Sally Dunn. In addition, T.H.B. Everson had a sister named Elizabeth who would have been 28 at the time of Asa's birth. One might speculate that Asa Everson was a nephew or some other family member of T.H.B. Everson and was raised by T.H.B as a son.
